About The Mountain Sky United Methodist Foundation
From an attitude of abundant blessings, we believe that everything we have comes from God and belongs to God. We are responsible for caring for these financial blessings in such a way that they multiply in value through financial gains, and provide fuel for ministry that furthers the mission of The United Methodist Church.
The Foundation is in mission to secure financial cornerstones for God’s churches through preserving the generosity of faithful givers who came before, and by helping create legacy gifts for those living today.
While providing financial tools and investment services, the Foundation seeks to develop, fulfill, and financially sustain ministry throughout the Mountain Sky Conference of The United Methodist Church.

Established in 1987
The Foundation’s predecessor organizations were established by the Annual Conferences of Yellowstone in 1986, and Rocky Mountain in 1987, as recommended by the Book of Discipline of the United Methodist Church paragraph 2513 for the purpose of securing and conserving gifts for the future of all United Methodist churches and agencies of the Conferences. The Mountain Sky Foundation was founded by a merger of these two foundations (Yellowstone Conference United Methodist Foundation and Rocky Mountain United Methodist Foundation) in 2018. The foundation serves United Methodists in these states of the Mountain Sky Conference: Colorado, Montana, Utah, and Wyoming. (The Mountain Sky Conference church in Salmon, Idaho, is served by the Northwest United Methodist Foundation.)
